Note & Rest Palette drag onto staff
Tip: on a bigger screen, press and drag a note or rest onto the staff — drop a note higher or lower to set its pitch. On a phone, tap a note or rest here to select it (it stays selected), then scroll down to the staff, press down and hold — a line with the note name will appear so you can slide your finger up or down until it says the pitch you want, then lift to place it. Tap the same token again, or the ✕ near the staff, to deselect it. Already-placed notes can be dragged up or down (with the same live preview) to change their pitch. Tap a note or rest on the staff to remove it — or, with an accidental selected above, tap a note to apply (or clear) that accidental. If a note doesn't fully fit in the current bar, it's automatically split and tied across the barline so every finished bar still adds up to 4 beats.
